About Us
We are Lauren and Breanna, both music therapists based in Glasgow. We met at Queen Margaret University on the MSc Music Therapy course where we immediately established a shared interest and passion for the profession. We founded Haven Music Therapy as we share a firm belief in the power of music as a therapeutic tool and music therapy as a means of emotional exploration. Grounded in evidence-based research and backed by psychodynamic theories, we believe that music therapy should be accessible to everyone. It requires no prior musical experience and is suitable for all ages, abilities, and backgrounds.
What is music therapy?
Music Therapy is a psychological, clinical
Intervention, delivered by HCPC registered
music therapists. It is used to help those affected
by injury, illness or disability. It supports their
emotional, psychological, cognitive, physical and
social needs and supports those of all ages, abilities
and walks of life.
Our Mission
At Haven Music Therapy, our mission is to offer compassionate, person-centred music therapy that honours each client’s unique journey. Through creative musical experiences, we aim to nurture expression, resilience, and connection.
